Elmcrest Residence

EAS was retained to design and construct an alternative and green interpretation to the traditional Sea Ranch track home. A neglected cookie-cutter residence originally constructed in 1977 is hardly the kind of home that would garner a second look. However, our Clients requested a renovation. Our team of designers and construction professionals developed a distinct vision that included a complete redesign, addition, renovation, and structural upgrade, while still retaining the home’s original architectural lines and elements.

Unique design elements include:

> Addition of 853 sf
> Structural retrofit / upgrade
> New loft addition opening to the first floor
> Clerestory
> New kitchen with custom designed concrete countertops
> Sunken dining room below grade
> Custom steel staircase and railing
> Two custom concrete fireplacese

EAS is proud that this project includes sustainable design elements such as:

> Solar panel system—this system zeros out the electrical bill
